Introduction of a new term: Wall Art = Picto-Mosaics
My attraction and love for art has existed for as long as I can remember, because art was loved and highly appreciated at home. For us, art was seen as the singularity of the artist, his mark, his fingerprints, the expression of his feelings and his freedom of speech. Where did I nurture my love for Mosaic making? Don't we try to convince ourselves that we all have precursory signs to what we become or go for? There is one thing I have inherited, I have huge patience and I strive for meticulous work. There is one thing I knew when I started doing mosaics, I would do big works. In my eyes, I had to come up with an expression of my own in order to say what I like most doing, I call my artworks "Picto-Mosaics" = pictures of mosaics to be hanged on a wall. I imagine my works as jewels on the walls, like beautiful paintings which decorate interiors. They are pictures made to be hanged on a vertical surface and exposed to light.
